The Best 9MM pistol

Of the ones I own, they rank in this order:

1. Beretta 92FS Inox

2. Norinco 213 (That's right, not a great pistol but fun to shoot)

3. SCCY CRX-2

4. Sig P250 Sub-Compact

5. Sig P250 Compact

This is not to say I do not like the Sig P250's. If not, they would not still be here. They are good pistols in my opinion.

I've gone through quite a few of them when looking for my first 9mm a while back.
Surprisingly the Beretta PX4 Storm felt and shot the best.

Tristar C100

Can't believe how smooth and accurate my Tristar C100(s) are...great shooter....great price...mine are all steel, no plastic (changed the factory grips for wood CZ75 grips)...

Well I have only shot one, a Beretta 92 FS being a Texas rancher it's always been single action Colts and a few Ruger flat tops.
I got the fever for a Beretta buy me one and fell in love I caint believe how smooth and accurate it is.
Best/joe

I tend to take my BHP, CZ75's, HK P7, and Beretta 92FS when choosing to shot a 9MM at my range. Which one is the "best". I have absolutely no idea. They all work great for me.

For speed, CZ75b, a drop free mag brake and a boatload of mec-gar mags.
For accuracy, sig pro SP2340 w/ bar-sto 9mm conversion barrel.
For fit and function, bone stock German made SIG 228.

I want to partially take back my answer based on what Pilot posted. While I love my Beretta 92, I have had the privilege to shoot a pretty good number of great guns. I've always felt fortunate that we don't have to narrow it down to one. :)

I'm happy to report that I actually own the finest 9mm pistol that I've ever had the chance to shoot, and it's a Tanfoglio Elite Match... maybe better known in North America as the "EAA WITNESS Elite Match."

With over 4,000 rounds through mine, it never fails to make me smile and say "Wow, with this one, I really got it right!" It's accuracy, repeatability, joy of shooting, it's extremely nice trigger and it's solid build quality and pure ability to run always and never give even minor hiccups, it is absolutely one of the finest handguns I own.

I will admit... that I believe it's kind of UGLY and it looks even worse in a picture than it actually does in person. :o

I believe that I will like a Smith & Wesson 952 even better, and I would really love to put a couple hundred rounds through a Sig P210, but the price tags on either of those is something I have to come to terms with. I do absolutely consider myself the future owner of a Smith & Wesson 952, but I don't know when I'll actually take that plunge.

CZ 75 BD. Was choosing btwn that and a Beretta 92 FS. For me it came down to ergonomics and the CZ fit my hand much better. Also a pleasure to shoot. Very accurate out of the box, very little recoil and very good looking.

they should make posts like this illegal.
"best" is entire subjective.
1. anyone that believes every piece of marketing propaganda would state that every gun ever made was the greatest gun ever.
2. any person that went with majority vote would claim that the Glock 17 is the best 9mm ever.
3. any person that served in the military before 1985 would likely tell you that the 1911 ranks pretty high and 9mms are for girls.
4. any person that served in the military after 1985 but before 1995 would likely tell you that it's the M9.
5. any person that watched season 2 of top shot would probably say it's the Limcat Razorcat 2011
6. any person that lives in chicago would probably say the Hi point 9 because they are so dangerous they are illegal.
7. anyone that spends a lot of time on Yahoo news, CNN, NBC, or MSN will tel you that it's a Keltec PF9 because that was the gun George Zimmerman used to mercilessly gun down the innocent child that was kidney stomping him.
8. anyone that spends a lot of time planning out how they would escape suburbia in the inevitable collapse of civilazation would tell you that 9mms a waste, just use the 50,000 rounds of 22LR stockpiled in their basement next to the pallets of MREs and bottled water.

personally? the best 9mm I've shot is my SR9 compact, but that isn't even the best handgun I've ever used. the best handgun is a tough call because of several reasons, most boil down to personal preference and an indecisiveness brought on by the fact that I don't have a high round count through some of them. the best, gun I've ever shot is my XDM45 compact, for the simple reason that it doesn't fail me, it hits what I aim it at, and it's fun as heck for me to shoot. a sig P226 in 40S&W ranks very high as well but I am not a fan of DA/SA or 40S&W so it dropped in the listing a bit.
