The amazing find

Hahaha, there's a pretty W-I-D-E valley between the $400.95 that was priced at... and a price that forces the revolver to sit on the shelf for eight years...

Not bad; .40S&W rounds...

That looks like a great deal for a used DA 4" revolver.
Can it also safely shoot the .40S&W? That would make it even better.
If you were shooting full house 10mm loads mostly Id look into having the stainless steel barrel Mag-Na-Ported. www.Magnaport.com

An amazing friend

A buddy just sold me a Model 10-6 HB for $200!
What revolver it is!
It is a former British Constabuary gun issued to LEO's in Britan and sold surplus here in the U.S. to him years back.
Being a novice, I tried to check for all looseness and clearenses smooth trigger release and S/A, D/A operationylinder operation and smooth opening.
The biggest fault is a extra serial number etched onthe sideplate in Britan. Asthetically poor but this gun is a shooter and maybe someday I can have a jewler fill it?
All in all this revolver was nearly free! A fine revolver from a finer friend!

I sold my 3-inch 610 last year. Truly needed the money, and I actually didn't like it much.

That size gun (.44 frame) with the little .40 holes in cylinder and barrel, plus the lack of fluting on the cylinder, means you are holding a surprising weight of steel.

It just didn't feel right, being too top heavy. Or at least it was to me.

Another inch of barrel could make a big difference to balance, so I am not saying that the quick-witted and extremely lucky OP does not have a very nice gun, don't get me wrong there. And it will be a soft-shooter when using any load of .40 S&W.

That is an amazing find! Even as I am not interested in a 610 for that price I would have bought it. Were you wearing a mask?
