610-2, no lock, 4-inch barrel, no dings, tight lock-up. Bought yesterday for $400 plus tax. What? It's true.

Just lucky and happened to be there

Leaving the range, always take a look in the cases for a surprise, the 610 had been there less than 24 hours on consignment. This is actually my 2nd great find that I stumbled upon while leaving the range - blame it on the fact that I go shoot a lot, and I strike like a cobra when I see something worth buying.

Very nice!!

That is one of the guns on my list of "gonna get before I die".

It's sandwiched right between the Model 57 no dash and Ruger Maximum.:D

Deals like that don't last long. Good call on always checking behind the glass, you never know what you'll come across. I always swing by the counter to take a look.

Cool gun Filthy!

Excellent find, and yes Id go into hock to grab that gun at that price!

Say, you do know .40 S&Ws with moon clips work well to in it, right?

Ha! You LIED! The receipt says $400.95! :p

In any case, someone dropped the ball in a big way.

I'm not familiar with how a gun shop is typically run, but when someone brings in a gun for consignment with a price that's FAR under market value, why on Earth doesn't the shop simply give the guy his full price and then display the gun themselves, with a higher price?

Or is the shop also clueless (as was the owner) about where a revolver like that typically goes for in the market?

That one is a no-brainer. There's no way you don't buy that, especially if you're the type that reads & posts in the revolver section of TFL. No way, no how.

Thats a good gun shop. My favorite one is hardly local 1.5 hour drive but they do the same thing. Price it to move and will haggle. Makes more sense then having it sit on the shelf for eight years.
