the .32 lever action is back

They are obviously sold out after one day because the link says they are UNOBTAIIUM. Better luck in your dreams I guess. I would have loved to buy one. Back to my Mosin which I can load from 32 S&W short loads to full house loads with black powder in between at 1\10 the cost of the rifle.

GoG/Davidson's hasn't added the model to their database, yet. So, my guess is that they aren't even close to getting their first shipment.
Keep your eyes open, they may show up eventually....

Sorry folks. A call to Marlin reveals this doesn't exist bad or old link. Said they wish it'd be re-introduced as they get plenty of calls for. Also, all other caliber 1894s postponed to 2014.

I didn't think this was current information.

I love the .32-20 but would take the .327 any day of the week. Yes, there are plenty of bullets available that would work fine in the .327. We've been running Speer and Hornady 85-100gr bullets over 2000fps for a lot of years with the .32-20 and the current Gold Dot would be a peach.

Sorry but no, the pressure are not too much for the platform.

The Bear,
I don't know what a 'bad link' would mean...imbedded old link or link they didn't remove til they heard about our banter - who knows? All that is known is there are no such guns.

Is 327 Fed Mag legal for CASS?

For that matter, is 32 H&R Mag?

Just trying to figure out why one vs. the other was chosen by the manufacturer.

32 H&R Mag is the "gamers" choice for fast shooting... yes... the H&R is legal, & to the best of my knowledge the 327 is not legal...

BTW... the longer cases are not the friend of the CAS shooter, unless they are using Trailboss, or black, or trying too hard... most ranges prefer softer shooting guns, they are easier on the plates, & with ricochets... I don't personally like the lightest gamer loads, I usually load my CAS loads about mid range as far as power...

I have a pair of Ruger Single Sixes in 32 H&R, that I thought MRS could use for CAS if she wanted to try it, but decided later to just get a pair of 357 Vaqueros ( heck, a good excuse to buy 2 more single action revolvers ;) ), since there is an advantage to using the same ammo in the revolvers & the lever gun, & a 32 lever gun has eluded me so far...

The gamers love the .32's so they can dribble those little bullets out as fast as they can run the action with virtually no recoil. I want one for small game and varmints. Which is what folks have been using the .32-20 for for 140yrs.

To answer the question of why the H&R and not the .327 in the original Marlin...the .327 may or may not be viable in the gun (pressure, other factors mentioned) but I don't believe the round was available at the time of the Marlin chambering regardless.
