That One rifle you wished you had back.

I had a Browning A-Bolt Stainless Stalker in .300 Win magnum...

It would put the first three rounds out of a cold, clean barrel in 1/2 inch, every time.

Magna-ported, Decelerator pad, Silver Burris 3-9x40, Leupold mounts and rings, Harris Bipod.

Yes, I would like to have that rifle back.

Marlin 982VS. It is/was a 22 mag with a heavy barrel. I sold it to buy a Christmas present for a chic I was dating at the time (idiot!). Low and behold, today I was rummaging through a box of old hunting stuff and came across 2 partial boxes of 22 mag ammo. I cried a little inside (what?!). I will own that gun again!
Great thread by the way.

Sold my Remington semi-auto 7400 (30-06). to an ex-girlfriend who gave it to her dad as a birthday present. She never paid me for it. I hope the old bastard enjoyed the rifle, more than I enjoyed his daughter.

It was my first rifle,,,

A Winchester 1898 pump in 22 Short,,,
It had a very long octagonal shaped barrel,,,
The magazine rod was missing so it was a single-shot.

I paid $5.00 for it at a farm estate auction,,,
I believe it was in the year 1960.

My younger brothers destroyed several of my guns,,,
They used them as toys when I left for military service,,,
Unfortunately this was one of the guns they used as play guns.

I know where there is an exact brother to my old rifle,,,
It's hanging on the wall of The Evil Pawn Shop,,,
It books out at about $1,200.00.
