I'd like to add my own thanks. Dave made me comfortable and happy about my first shotgun purchase so much so that in heeding his advice about the second, I already know I will be happy with it. Thank you, Dave. Its people like you that make anywhere they are a better place.

Dave, let me add to the praises.

I didn't own a shotgun when I started posting at TFL. Now I have three 870s and an 1100. You led me to the 1100 (Wally World special) and offered some piece of advice on every gun--whether it was changing a safety, considering balance, practicing form, etc.

Glad to hear you're on board for Oleg's forum.

Thanks again, folks,(wiping eyes, blowing nose) this is a bit of a surprise. It's really good to know I've been doing the right thing, coaching, teaching, even maybe pontificating a bit.

And, I have to admit I've become the fastest two finger typist east of the Pecos. My writing has been polished quite a bit also.

And if my writings do make it to a hardcover edition, look in the introduction. Some of you will be mentioned by name, some grouped by totality. I owe the TFL gang a debt beyond any repayment...

I already said my piece (like that ever stopped me from talking), but I was out looking at guns today at the big gun store and saw a new black Rem 1100 synthetic on the rack. Only $478.

John, I'd love to know just how many folks got great deals on those 1100s. That was an excleent thread, but basically I just gave a heads up to the gang.

Howard, in a fit of utter madness, I've been asked to Moderate the Shotgun BB over there. And in an equal fit of madness, I've accepted. This should prove educational.
