The only reason we still have internet (or phone) service here in the mountains of North Georgia is we take potshots at the revenooers with the ol' .30-30 whenever they go near the phone lines.

Apparently, volunteers to stand at the foot of every isolated gravel driveway back here in the hills & hollows of Appalachia and holler "Please bring down your deer guns!" got hard to find after the first few weeks...

Alright S&W, what gives? I just brought my new BUTT LICKER 2010 home and turned on the programing screen. After putting in my Federal Identification number a nude picture of Janet Reno came up on the screen. I puked all over the gun. Now I will need to go to the shrink as I will never look at firearms or woman the same. I'll hand it to our(?) government though, best damn gun control plan I've ever seen.

Good to see everyone is is still here and yes Mars is as beautiful as it looks in the brochure. I just wish it wasn't 2 years round trip. Thank God nothing has changed in the good o' Nation of Texas. They just ratified the 5th state and the big party is next weekend at the capital in Austin. It's a good thing we broke away when President-for-life Clinton ordered the constitution burned and all guns taken away and replaced will Clinton and Wesson 2 shot .02 caliber papershooters. I got a letter from a friend who's in prison in New Jersey serving 15 years for saying the word "gun" after the alloted time period of 9:00 am-9:05 am on Mon. and Thurs. He can't wait to get out and finish his 20 years probation burying the left-over bullets so he can get a job at the papershooter plant. I feel sorry for people who got stuck in the US after Texas put up the 50 ft. electric wall. I'm just glad I moved when I did.

Just about everytime I place my finger on the trigger I get a "General Protection Fault at Page 001001:0fd100 Please press RESET or wait for the system to respond".

Then when I reboot it says "Your gun was not properly shut down. Now checking the magazine for your round."

5 minutes later as it's bringing up the OS screen I get a new error, "VMM64.vxd file not found or missing. Please return to vendor for repair."

So I packed each individual part in it's own separate box labeled "WARNING!! GUN PARTS!! KEEP SEPARATE!!" And took it down to the UBS station after calling the local precinct with my vehicle licence number and my "Non-reponsive target shooting" licence number to let them know the EXACT time I would be on the road and the EXACT route. Fortunately I was able to give them enough time to clear the streets for me.

The clerk took each box individually with gloved hands into the back to separate trucks and charged me the usual $100.00 "hazardous materials" fee + the $30.00 postage + the $45.00 for overnight delivery, as per the law.

He took the numbers of my licenses and my fingerprints and retinal scan, and swiped my BLUE CARD for $700.00.

The policeman that had acompanied me escorted me out and watched until I was off the station's property.

I'm so glad to live in the good 'ol USA where we have the right to keep and bear an arm...

I had the same problem once and I peed on it and it rebooted. I am afraid I cant keep this up for long. If I turn it in they will give back my Medicare.

Having returned from my latest and final S&W's Armorer update course (yay retirement!), I can share these factory insights with you:

The saliva tester works well if you don't use lead bullets. Old fashion lead bullets tend to confuse the DNA tester. This is not a factory defect as it is part of the inherent safety design built into the gun. You see, S&W knows there are a lot of reloaders who cast or swage old fashion lead bullets - something banned by the EPA years ago. Once a lead film builds up on the saliva tester, it's programmed to lock up. Rather than send it back to the factory for replacement, if you can find an old gun cleaning product, "Wipe Away", it will remove the lead and restore the functioning of the saliva tester.

In the future, refrain from using cast/swage lead reloads, or old bullets containing lead, and stick to factory loaded nerf safety rounds.

Boy, you guys are fouled up. I had all my S&W operational questions resolved with one quick phone call to President Janet Reno at the White House.

Hey Buzz-knox, he can't possibly be insane, don't you remember the full battery of tests they did on our minds when we paid our $1500.00 to apply for our application form to
get the tests that we needed to prove that we were worthy of being consitered for an application to possibly have a handgun?

Then we had to do the same thing all over agian when they "lost" our test results.

After all, it's for our own protection.

Hi guys

Sorry it took so long for a reply, but the Federal government's new filtering software for the Internet has blocked out TFL. I'm using a "cracker" that a friend developed, but we know we don't have long, since all overseas posts are automatically monitored.

Now that firearms are totally banned in Australia, I feel much safer. The police demonstrated their new "microwave brain scrambler" on TV last night; let's see any crim face that!! So far, though, it's only been tested on a small crowd -- some radicals holding a small protest against the gun laws. It was funny to those old folks clutching their heads as their brains were literally cooked! Sure made a change from watching that new "Combat to the Death" show on TV that everyone's raving about. I mean, when you've seen one person killed, it gets a bit ho-hum, you know?

Anyway, I'm still a gunowner at heart. My real guns were taken and crushed, but they didn't know I still have a compound bow and a beautiful Spanish-made replica of a Colt .45 -- ol' Slabsides. I like to take it out and clean and oil it -- just feel the weight in my hand and remember. It even "ka-klunks" like the real thing used to! :)

Anyway, now I'm back on line, I'll be able to post more often.

Gotta go now, there's headlights coming up the driveway and someone at the doo .....................................................................

You people make me sick. You had your chance to become Citizens just like every one else. It was the best decision I've made since I retired from the United Nations Air Force.

As you know Citizens can, without restrictions, own any Balistic Projection Device (BPD) we want to.

It's not too late for you! Join the winning team. Your scan-chip implant operation is free. All your uniforms are paid for, and I must say our new Black Tunics look great.

I just returned from my yearly 6 month citizen service commitment, and it was wonderful. You people say you want to shoot guns, then join! As a Citizen you'll sure get your chance. Not just paper targets either, if you know what I mean ;)
