Terror threat change anything for you?

Early Black Friday morning, brother-in-law and I, along with my two son-in-laws, head to deer camp. Very, very dangerous take, with the mass quantities of beverages consumed, combined with the hot gas of stories of hunts long passed in front of the open fireplace!

Is everyone just feeling complacent because the years upon years of empty threats? Just curios.

Most people I know are like "yeah, yeah blah blah"

I'm less worried about attacks than I was in 2001-2002. I was almost sure more attacks would happen.

Now Isis is a more powerful and capable group than years past... Probably more likely an attack from them than our old terrorist enemies.

So what is difference now? Are we just galvanized from excessive threat levels of the past?

Some I'd been meaning to put a rifle back under the seat in my truck and this provided motivation, one thing I did notice my wife didn't even bat an eyelash when I did.

I'll admit since recent events, I've been carrying more than I used to. I dont usually carry everyday. But I try to now.. G19 in the Galco Royal Gaurd IWB.. I have not carried a spare mag though..... Yet.

My lady urges me to stockpile ammo, and is directly responsible for getting me to put together two additional ARs this year.

Nope, and yes.. I have had a pretty good idea what we face from the get go.
Its our leaders who do not seem to have a clue.

I have not changed my carry options. My formula has always been Convenience/ Threat = what I take with me.

What has changed is were I may go. I wont be going to any big parades. And I certainly wont be going to the Mall of America. Things like that.
In other words I wont be following the Lemmings around.

I think it is more of a coincidence, but, in the last few months, after Kansas went ahead with constitutional carry, I figured out how best I can carry. Now I am looking for a Taurus model 85 to carry whenever I want.

This...

I still go to movies on rare occasions, but never on crowded days.

Thanks for the replies.

My frustration level is probably higher than our threat level. I have to say, I did take the M&P today instead of the 239.
I guess the only other thing that has changed is the loaded 30 round mag for one of the AR's in the house.

My not going to movies has less to do with muslim terrorists than it does with jerks on their phone, sticky floors from God knows what, and sound that is WAY too loud - even for my hard of hearing ears. Besides, most movies just suck to begin with.

No real changes for me carry wise. No mater what i am carrying that day I always have 2 reloads if I have to go to a bad area it will be 4 reloads and maybe something larger in the car depending on why I have to be in that area.

It wasn't so much the ISIS attack that made me reconsider things...it was the fact that a mass murderer and his crazy mamma lives across the parking lot from me.

The only thing that changes with me when the government and media start fearmongering is whether to laugh about it or cry about how many people go bat-freakin crazy over it.

I can recall seeing some mall cop with a double stack mag pistol and a really cool rig that held four mags in easy ready access. He had 75 rounds ready to go. I'm thinking if he needs 75 rounds in a crowd, we're in trouble.

Concurrently, if you think you're going to need 75 rounds to save the world from the daily high casualty terrorist attacks that happen more often than lottery winners...I'd say you're over reacting.
