I am not sure about this, But, Ive heard rumers about Teresa Heinz, wife to John Kerry, Gave a large sum to an organization that wants the US to give Texas back to Mexico. It sounds far fetched to me, but you never know.

Maybe she doesnt realize that Texas was its own country before we were annexed....

Let me know if anyone has heard this rumer, or if anyone knows if it is true or not. Either way, she's still crazy....

Wait a minute! Theresa Heinz is planning to draft Texans to attack Mexico?

I gotta tell Dan Rather! I'll print out this thread as proof! We'll scoop the other networks!

:D

No way the USA could "annex" Texas. We joined voluntarily.

The way I learned in 4th grade in Houston, Texas joined the union voluntarily because the Republic of Texas was essentially bankrupt and needed the USA to bail them out.

Can anybody confirm?

Well, ah wuzn't thar, en ah didn't ask nobody thet wuz, but the way ah figgers it, them folks allus counted themselfs as 'Mericans, and figgered on joinin' the Union from the git go.

Coulda bin thet way, anywho.

Dave R, last I was there in June (in time for the release of the state quarter), that's how the state museum in Austin has it as well. :)

Not sure about being given to mexico however it is slowly going that way
as is AZ,Calif,NM.

A side note is to have Teresa Heinz as first lady is scary...... :barf:

She'll never be First Lady, anymore than Hildebeast was First Lady.

Neither of them has a clue what it means to be a lady.

Well, sort of - more accurately, Thuh-RAY-suh Heinz-Kerry is planning to annex Mexico, then draft Mexicans to kill off the Chinese and North Koreans there currently staging for an invasion of the US, then if successul, as a present, give the Mexicans back Mexico and a surplus gift, also give them Texas, NM, AZ, and Southern Calif, but reserve to those newly freed "Mexicans" the right to free US-govt-provided healthcare in exchange for Mexico officially adopting ketchup as their National Condiment, instead of salsa. Mmm-mmm, ketchup tacos!

Trouble is, during the late unpleasantness, (aka the War of Yankee Imperialism) the status of Texas could be said to have changed.

Who thinks it's long passed time the Texicans broke up into Five Separate States...ghod knows the professional Texicans talk about it enough!

Is it just me or is there something just a little out of sync with Ter-ray-sa? I've only seen her a few times on TV but the wild eyed look kind of gives me the creeps. If Johnboy traded places with me I sure would put locks on ALL my toys and hide the knives.
