I bring that up because one thing that I learned to do that served me very well was to approach folks who owned that bike and ask them to sincerely detail the flaws, large or small. Especially small. My idea was that ANY choice would have some flaws-- so learning to manage them or defeat them or otherwise "live with them" was the key to deciding if that purchase was going to work for me.
Don't ask me about the flaws in my Ducatis. I also used to be very addicted to bikes, racing and track days and canyon carving, and it also seems like a lifetime ago now.
But of the two revolvers I own, a M&P340 and a M&PR8, I struggle to think of anything I don't like that doesn't come with the package.
The 340 is a beast with .357 magnums, which also stick in the cylinder if you've fired a bunch of .38's beforehand, but the solution is, don't fire .357 magnums, they hurt. The grip is uncomfortable for my hands, but again it comes with the small-frame package that makes it small and light. The sights are slightly off and non-adjustable, so I guess that's a ding.
The R8 is pretty flawless, but being mostly a pistol guy I struggle with the zero-creep trigger and I'm not as accurate with it as I could be.
Minor quibble with both guns: Why oh why can't S&W make triggers that are either uniformly bare metal or uniformly anodized or painted with something? The triggers on both guns look like anodized steel that's been handled and rubbed for decades, and they looked like that right out of the box.
