I have noticed the subtle socialism. It is coming in from Europe; the arrogant attitude found in many "letters to the editor" in many newspapers. I remember before W. was elected in 2000, reading drivel from some woman who was trying to tell any and all who read her letter to the editor in the L.A. Times why we should not vote for Bush. I don't remember her exact words, but she wrote that when, in the past, she had voted in England, then in Israel, and now in the U.S., how awful Bush was as a candidate compared to all the people she had voted for in the past, in all the different places.

What struck me as odd was not her put down of Bush, but rather she had confirmed what I had been fearing: our country was slowly being "invaded" by people from socialist countries with an agenda to turn us into another European-like state. (i.e. Canada)

Should we be as paranoid as progunner1957? No, but we need to be mindful of who we elect to office. In my state, AZ, we have McCain as our senator. Even with rumors of him "switching sides" to the Democrats, I do not feel any threat to me being able to open carry on my person or in my car. Hopefully this will continue without us going to all-out socialism, ala Europe!

er xenophobia aside...

whats with the screen name Himmler? you dont actually venerate that looser do you?

Damn Marshall law and Zenophobia.

Wasn't Marshall Law a western hero and Zenophobia being scared of some beautiful but tall woman who fought the Greek Gods on TV.

I also thought Mark nailed our 'boy' Himmler awhile ago.

yeah on another forum im on, theres a R. Heydrich. funny how some of these people venerate these thankfully long dead idiots. Even funnier when you consider alot of these people wouldnt even measure up under the old SS membership rules and would probably have been loaded head first into the old oven!

Maybe its just some small minded nutter who thinks hes getting alittle shock value?
