Very reliable. However, during a session where 50 rounds of 180 gr. Winchester Ranger Talons were fired, sometime in the shooting I shot the slide lever out of the gun (the piece that is pulled down to release the slide from the frame). I do not know when this occurred, because the gun did not malfunction or stop. I did not even really notice it until I went to clean it later (which prompted me to get a 442 when the 27 was out of service). Got it fixed for free from a distributor, it went back on duty with no more problems.
