Ted Nugent on NRA-NEWS: I CAN'T BELIEVE IT

Coincidentally, Vermont has the lowest crime rate in the US.
Three years ago my son lived in Vermont for a few months. He was pleasently supprised(after growing up in Mass.) of large number of people that own firearms there. He told me "it's great,no one would EVER dare to break into your house or, rob you in your car...they would be shot instantly." He owned a Chi-Com SKS and set targets up in his backyard and shot them off the pourch, nothing around but a river and miles of trees....Norm.

Heck, when at his concert, his decorations were machine guns, shotguns, assualt rifles, hunting rifles, probably over a dozen. He shot a big paper Saddam with an arrow on stage. His closing statement was 'Support the second amendment! Buy everyone you know a gun!'.

Ya, I've been looking for some pix of that...

Get a copy of the May 2005 issue of Small Arms Review. He's apparently into C3/NFA weapons. The link below to the May '05 index has a pic of him holding an M60 - probably his.

He's right. Why would you have a CCW permit for something the 2nd Amendment grants us.

That's pretty much what Rep. Eric Croft D-Anchorage said when he introduced the bill in the Alaska legislature that is now our VT style right-to-carry law. His words were "How can you put a pre-condition on a Constitutional right"?

als54,

The 2nd Amendment grants nothing. The right would exist with or without it. It's merely written documentation that 1) The right exists and is acknowledged and 2) gives notice to the .gov that they are forbidden to infringe on that right. ;) Not that they pay any attention to it these days. :barf:

Has anyone from TFL (or THR) ever tried extending an invitation to the Nuge to join the forums? As an avid hunter, you'd have to imagine he wouldn't mind spending some time around here.

Come on Ted - grace us with your presence!

coincidentally (or not), Vermont also has a population mostly made up of caucasians. just thought i would point that little fact out.

I saw that member name pop up the other day, and I was wondering.

Edited to add:
Pretty sure that isn't Ted. Guy says he's 34, and he's been hunting "for three years now".

Coincidentally, there are more whites in the US than any other race anyways  Racism is for the narrow minded.

I will say this about Uncle Ted, people tremble in fear of him, on both sides of the gun issue. He's true to what he says, and says it how means it. He doesn't pussyfoot around on stuff he believes in. And touchy-feely types don't like that.

I hope people don't see things like this on forums like this and associate firearms ownership with racism.

Jonathan and Wayneinfla beat me to it. Even if the comment is just meant to be a statement it's stuff like this that had that rat-bag Michael Moore linking the NRA to the KKK in Bowling for Columbine.

So people see this kind of stuff and believe it. Never mind the NRA was the very first group in the US right from the start to allow any race to join, people in general see these comments first and buy into it.
