Rounds are stored in the magazine, you don't have time to stick a loose round in the barrel.
A loaded magazine is inserted in the gun. Rounds are stored in a box!
1.Insert loaded magazine.
2.open tip up barrel.
3.Insert round.
Not all that difficult.
Also have you tried field stripping an 86?
No, but my 22 Poly tip up is one of the easiest to clean pistols I have.
how do you clear a dud in a tip up?
My Taurus 22 Poly usually flings them out when the barrel catch is released. If it doesn't come out then, it will if I elevate the muzzle with the barrel open.
showing the mechanics of say umm movement of a watch is not a bad idea.
An
interesting idea, but a useless gimmick in a gun.
Having the frame of the gun conform to your body is not a bad ide
But an equally useless one as seeing the internals of a revolver. My LCP is well concealed, and comfortable in my pocket. As is my Kahr CM9 carried IWB. Even my Springfield XD40 Sub Compact in a Theis Holsters Hybrid IWB holster "conforms" well for concealed carry.
I will give Taurus credit for a couple good ideas they have had.
1. The 45/410 revolver. Touted by some as a gimmick. But with the advent of the newer "handgun specific" buckshot rounds, used in conjunction with 45 Colt SD rounds it is a very viable close range self defense choice. A Public Defender Poly is my choice for a truck gun when I travel
2. The Taurus 992. A Long Rifle/Magnum convertible
swing out cylinder DA/SA revolver. One that I have been seriously considering for a long time.
So as far a Taurus coming up with new designs, I am all in favor of it. But it is disappointing to see them wasting their efforts on the gimmicky dumb ones.
