Taurus pistols Your ratings??

I have a Taurus multialloy m85 ti, a 44 spc ti, and a pt111. I did send the 111 back to Taurus because the trigger pull was too long. Now it does well, and is very accurate. I like the light weight of the revolvers, and have had no problems with them so far. The m85 is a good pocket pistol, and loaded with 38 spc corbon, is no slacker in the power dept. The 44 spc with corbon makes a powerful weapon(for handguns).

My Taurus PT92 performs beautifully--probably as well as a Beretta. NEVER had a jam or ftf in the thousand rounds I put through it. But, that's probably also the best gun Taurus makes. The only problem is that grip is way too thick for me.

I bought a used PT-92AF in '94 and kept it until I replaced it with a Glock 23 last year. I only had one problem with it.

I had had it for about a year when I had a major failure. I was at the range and had fired the first four or five rounds of a magazine. The next shot generated MUCH GREATER recoil. I pulled the trigger again. CLICK!!! Racked the slide (muzzle downrange) expecting to eject a live round. Nope, it was spent. So, dumbass here shrugs his shoulders and fires again. Big recoil again. This time the action is completely jammed shut. It took me and the rangemaster about 45 min. to get the gun apart. Culprit....one of the "wings" had broken off the locking block. There was a bubble visible to the naked eye in the metal. I was pissed. Called Taurus and they sent me a new locking block that day. Had it in abour four days. After that the gun functioned perfectly for 2000-3000 rounds until I sold it.

I like Taurus' attitude and the way they support their products. My wife carries a ported model 85. We both love it. I'm considering the 9mm Millineum(sp?). Would love to hear opinions of that gun vs. the Kel-Tec P11.

Best to all,

Robert
