Have had a Taurus .357 since 2000, various types of rounds fired through it from mild (and old surplus) 38's to hot .357's. No problems to speak of excepting the blueing's wearing down a bit. Still accurate.
Excepting a slightly less pretty finish...no real effective difference between it and the S&W's I used to own. The only real gripe (as noted on other posts on this matter) is that the rubber grips weren't quite cut out enough so as to not drag a speedloader. Solved that little vex with a sharp knife and a boring night. (and anyway, in my current incarnation, don't expect the need to be using speedloaders)
Fairly fond of it, and it's one of the few firearms I wouldn't sell...if that unfortunate need ever arose.
Sort of a ambivalent issue anyway, as all the major manufacturers make a roughly equivalent product...and all have bad production days.
