taurus curve

I think they look like crap so I never tried one out.
:D

Yup, pretty much sums it up for me too. With all the other beautiful gun options out there, why would I want this gimmick gun.

Sign me up for one when they become so unpopular people are dumping them for prettier guns. I'd buy one on the cheap:D

I would like to shoot one just for giggles. I have never seen one at the range, or know anybody that has one. LGS guy says they don't move well.

Yeah, it's a gimmick, but it's a gimmick that works. I've seen one person carry one and it looks like a pocket knife and you always know where it is if you're carrying it. It doesn't have anything that could get snagged and it's light.

I sort of like gimmick guns. Here's a list of "gimmick guns", some I have and others I want to have:

Braverman pen gun
COP 357
AR Pocket Pistol
G.R.A.D. Knife Gun
Open Bolt M10
Desert Eagle 44 magnum
Sites Spectre
Claridge Hi-Tec
Chicago Palm Pistol

I'll buy a Taurus Curve just as they discontinue them.:)

I think jdc1244 hit the nail on the head: the target market is the non-gun crowd.

I'm not gonna bash it because while the owner of a 1911 will likely never want a Curve, a new gun owner with a Curve might decide that they'd like a 1911 and become one of us.

Yup, like many have said its for those that are new to conceal carry. Those that don't want to be bothered by carrying something that is much more useful.

I will give taurus credit for being innovative. This industry needs to be pushed. But I have not read great reviews of the gun - if it did I would consider it. I hope they keep it up though because gen 2 or 3 of this gun could be amazing. I think taurus is a company that is really making strides right now. I am really impressed by their little 380 TCP and that their 9mm single stack made it through guns and ammo test better than nearly all of the other guns. I am probably going to jump on the 380 when summer comes around as its only like $190.

If I'm buying a pistol to save my life, absolutely nothing but appearance is a pretty bad criteria. I want it to get the job done..well. This pistol looks like it has some non-cookie cutter styling that will make it get its job done better, but make it look funny. I'll take that over a tired old typical design that offers nothing better any day.
The only reason I'm not excited to try this pistol out is because it's a short grip pinky free design. I just can't deal with that. I need a full length grip.

The Curve was recalled due to no caliber stamped on the barrel and never came back out from Taurus. Still a couple kicking around on GB but that is it.
Kind of like the View. When Taurus changed CEO to Acitelli (from Colt). The guns were dropped a couple years ago..

I have
Braverman pen gun
COP 357
AR Pocket Pistol
Desert Eagle 44 magnum
View
Boberg
Semmerling
Seecamp
and many more

I too like all guns including the unusual ones. only thing I don't like about the Curve is it takes a battery which doesn't hold up well over the years in a collector pistol.

I actually like the idea of it. Especially the built in lights and laser. It is butt ugly though. I will not be buying one due to my previous Taurus quality issues I have had. I do wish more man would think outside the box.

So how does that holster on a string work?

So how does that holster on a string work?

I'm assuming you tie it to something,,,
And simply pull the pistol from it when you draw.

But tie it to what?
Your belt?

That's interesting. The only thing holding me back from pursuing one of these is the fact that it's .380 and not 9mm. Not that I'm against .380's; it's just that I don't typically collect them.
