Tasco SS w/side Paralax or Springfield Govt. Mdl?

SavageHunter, if you want to talk Glocks, please use the Semi Auto Pistol forum.

By the way, As the name implies, yes I do have Glocks, and love them dearly.

You and me ought to get along just fine. I like Savages and Glocks, both of them ugly as sin, but do a damn good job at what they are used for. At least mine do.:D

Savage......

Forget it, the reason I took off on you was the post where you said if Trashco bought Leupold we'd bag on them, or some such.......
Manty times on the forum's there are buttheads who don't REALLY want info, they just want to be TROLLS.........
And start poop throwing parties.
Also, ( Now 483 post's??), that isn't anything, look at some of the other dudes on here..........2-3-4 thousand..........
I AM A LONG way off that.
Anyway, sorry if I took you the wrong way, but now that I have explained WHY, I'm sure you'll understand......no OFFENSE taken,..
JUST DON'T BUY A DAMN TASCO!!!!!!!!:D

Yeah SavageHunter, I am in a way. Seems over the year or so since I last posted on there, they removed my account. Once I noticed this I re-registered, but I haven't gotten my password in the e-mail yet. I wrote eric an e-mail, but nothing came of it. I'll look for you there.

New User name for me is Glockster1969 on GlockTalk

I have had bad luck with the springfields I have had 2.
The first ones zero would move a large amount with power change.
sent it back after 3 months got it back zero thing was fixed but there was a scratch on one of the internal lenses.
I traded for a rifle with another on it.
Just playing with it caused the eyepiece to come loose sent it back they fixed it and I sold it.
I have one of the Tasco custom shop 8X40X56 I have been happy with it and by looking at the tube, eyepeice, and the turrets it is identical to the springfield scopes I would bet they are made by the same company in japan
As everybody said for the money I would get a vari-xII 3X9X40 Tactical
BTW I like gocks too :D

tascos

My 10x42M models never had problems (have since sold them). I lapped my scope rings so that may have helped prevent problems

I currently have one of the SS16x42 and like it. Out of the box the turrets were mushy but that can be improved by removing excess silcone grease.

I replace the o-rings on the turrets with a smaller ones. Much improves the feel tho I might not want to throw it in a lake now.

The Tascos are NOT MK4s but they are pretty decent scopes for the money.
