Talk to me about tube-fed versus mag fed bolt action 22 rifles.

talk

I had a neighbor who managed to loose a tube. Near as we could figure, a limb or piece of brush snagged the thing and pulled it out of the rifle while he was on the tractor.

My new Henry .22 has a tube, and the capacity is great fun....but ammo is scarce and expensive these days.

The best running box has got to be the Ruger 10/22, 77/22 rig.

The worst is the 5 or 10 rd (10 may be abit better) on the Savage MkII tac rifles , absolute junk.

MagPul, if your reading this, make a poly box for the Savage MKII and you'll sell a bunvh of them.

The most elusive for me has been locating an affordable box for my Moss 44US.

Probability he will still have the DBM in 30 years:5%
Probability the tube will still be functioning in 30 years: 95%

Cost of the replacement magazine when the rifle has been out of production for 20 years: 80% of the cost of the rifle.

I bought a marlin tube fed bolt rifle 22. I like the design, but I have put a few thousand rounds through it. The action is noticeably worn, especially where the bolt handle rides the receiver.
