Survey: Where do you guys wear your holster?

Gould & Goodrich Model 86, LH for Walther PPK when off duty. Sometimes an inside the waist holster.

Safariland SSIII for Sig P220 when in uniform.

Are the Galco and Alessi holsters you mentioned made to carry with a shirt tucked in? I'm in the market for an IWB holster for my Kimber, but I would prefer something that allows me to tuck a shirt in. Milt Sparks has one, but I would like a little first-hand experience to help me decide on a holster.

Most IWB holsters are designed to be worn with a covering garment. Only the "Workman" style holsters like those by Rosen, BladeTech etc can be worn with the covering garment tucked in.

Svt I didn't recognize you with that user name of course but was happy nonetheless to have someone else in the "discussion" there with sense. Thank you!!!
Perhaps our little sobatical from TFL was a learning experience. I know, like Rick said, it does make one appreciate this site even more.
I'm sure there were many others in need of a gun forum "fix" that wandered (cheated :o) while TFL was down. Maybe one of us should start one of those threads thanking Rich and the moderators for the site and compare experiences while "visiting" some of the other forums.

Gunslinger

We live in a time in which attitudes and deeds once respected as courageous and honorable are now scorned as being antiquated and subversive.

Gunslinger, unless TFL is down again, I don't plan on going back. Most of the subjects are way off gun talk. I do appreciate what we have here on TFL much more now.

Also, thank you guys for input on your holster and positions of carry. Since I am a complete dumbass, I didn't try the Bianchi 3S IWB strong side hip. I tried it after reading the posts and damn, it was comfortable and conceals nicely.

I'm glad I posted this thread haha

Strong side in an Alessi belt holster unless I am in shirt sleeves. Then I use a Gaylord 8-ball in my pants or shorts pockets.

I mainly carry one of the two following firearms off duty depending on the weather.

Kimber Custom Classic in one of these three rigs:
Galco Jackass shoulder holster (good for long trips in the car).
Wilson rapid response (shark skin)
Galco Royal Guard IWB (strong side)

For my Kahr K9 when it's *really* hot:
Galco pancake holster strong side.
Alessi ankle rig (inside left ankle), also my on duty backup rig.

For concealed carry always just behind right hip bone (strong side) regardless of size, make, model or holster. Even use my Commander ocassionally in a holsterless "Mexican" carry in the same spot.

Oddly enough, for field use, camping and such I've become real fond of crossdraw. Go figure?

A Springfield 1911A1 in either a Kramer Belt Scabbard during the winter months or a Milt Sparks Summer Special II IWB in the summer. Both worn just behind the side seam of the pants on the strong side.

KelTec P-11 in DeSantis iwb at about hip on strongside (right). KelTec P-32 same spot but using the nifty belt clip. Or the P-32 in the right rear pocket behind a ballistic nylon wallet. Actually, the P-32 can go just about anywhere.

Has anyone tried the Milt Sparks VersaMax2? I've been looking at it on the web page (www.miltsparks.com), but that's not exactly the same as personal experience.

Wear my Glock 22 on a paddle holster strong side. When I don't have any choice, I carry it in my fanny pack.
