Suppressed. 22

I've used that CCI quiet 22 on my Savage bolt gun with the can. All you hear is click when you pull the trigger. Not even a puff noise out of the end and if you watch closely enough you can see the bullet travel to the target looking through the scope. Seriously brings the giggle factor to a 10

I have a standard 22/45 with a Silencerco Sparrow.

ALL ammunition through this setup is subsonic.
The combination works quite well.
Velocities, accuracy, and point of impact are not altered by the suppressor.

SGW Gunsmith--
Here's a Ruger Mark III 22/45 RP 10149 with a "special" bolt set-up that allows the use of CCI Quiet .22 Long Rifle ammunition. This bolt weigh a tad less than half of what the steel bolt does. Over 3000 rounds of testing, so far, and it's quiet.

I really like the "Quiet" ammunition, but like you implied, my Ruger Lite will not cycle it, so the pistol becomes a single shot device.

Will you tell me about your bolt setup?

Thanks.

I run a Ruger 22/45 & Sig Sauer Mosquito with a Tactical Innovations Quest. Some of the best plinking fun I can have is with a can and some 22 and a host of my choice.

This bolt set-up involves a prototype kit that I've been working with Volquartsen on. The bolt itself is less than half the weight of the steel factory bolt and is aluminum. It weighs like 2-½ ounces and requires a custom made bolt stop assembly so the bolt doesn't beat the crap out of the bolt stop assembly. I have at least 2500 rounds through this pistol with that same bolt set-up. At Volquartsen, Nic told me they already had 1500 rounds through a Scorpion pistol. This thing is "spooky" quiet. I've already ventilated a bunch of night raiding raccoons, using the CCI Quiet ammunition, and a flashlight with a red lense, and those raccoons still standing didn't know what happened to their fallen brothers/sisters after the smoke cleared. More fun than any human should be allowed to have while still clothed.
