super small .22lr semiautos

are there any SEMI .22lr (this, besides the NAA mini revolvers) close to the size of a Baby Browning? I read about some older models that were more petite than the contemporary Beretta / Taurus models, but information and pics seem to be sparse...

The .22 LR doesn't lend itself to ultra-small autos. It's too long.
The ultra-small guns use .22 short or .22 long (not LR!) The long is about the same length as .25 acp.
The Beretta 21 is LR., but it's bigger than the 950 (.25 & .22 short.)
The Bernardelli is tiny and was available in short, long and .25.

.22lr came later and has more unph. The last well-made shorter .22lr's might be found in the "High Standard Sport King" realm.

Was the Walther TPH made in .22lr? Was it only imported back in the 1960's or 1970's? I have one in .25, didn't know it was made in .22lr.

the TPH was made in both .22lr and .25acp, blue or stainless. because they are cute they cost about $200 more than their .380 brothers, plus they aren't made any more.

This thread is useless with any pics, so I was forced to open the safe and pull out my camera tonight.
Iver Johnson TP22 which is pretty dang close to the Walther TPH (even in name!LOL).
It was a perfect companion to my Walther PPK when I had one.

7 rounds of man stopper .22 and one in chamber.
Hammer block European type safety and European mag release.
But this is a tack driver, believe it or not, even with it's tiny sights.

I shot the heck out of this so much that the finish wore off the aluminum slide, so I just sanded it off. Original manual and box, picked up for 150.00 back in the 1980's.

Great pocket size (20.00 bill for size comparison).

American Arms PX22, same as the Iver Johnson above, with a Walther TPH.

the other side...

Seecamp, Walther and a bill. :D

cool pics... But aren't these PPK clones much longer than 4,5 inches o.a.l.?

You are correct in that the TPH, according to the manual, is 5.3" I figured that's close enough considering the lack of many guns in this genre. There's a pic of the PX and TPH with a PPK/S for size comparison.

I have a TP-22, and I gotta say- that's a neat little gun. I've carried it when anything else would have been too obvious.

The old Sterling Arms 302 is small, and feels heavy for its size.

The Sterling 302 is a very close copy of the old Rigarmi Model 1957.

A similar, but not identical pistol is the Galesi .22

I've thought about the Phoenix HP22A...it's small and there is a "kit" where you get a second barrel, so you get the short 3" and then a "target" 5".....

Some may laugh at having a 22LR as a carry, but if there is nothing else or small enough..... is something better then nothing....
