I agree with your intent, but not with your beliefs about the limitations on government action.
Contrary to popular belief, there is no "freedom of religion." What exists is a Constituional Amendment that says that the Federal Government can't establish a state religion. Its interpreted broadly to be sure, but its not as broad as you may think.
Government CAN and DOES regulate religious practice; it outlawed the Mormon's many wives, forbids the same for Moslems, and won't let Rastifarians smoke POT legally, to cite some of the simpler examples. It can remove tax-exempt status, etc.
Government can -- not that it should -- dictate what and where you carry concealed -- and that CAN (but may not presently) including weapons in Church. There's only one or two states in the country that don't dictate how and where you can carry a concealed weapon.
Here in NC, there are remarkably FEW places that you can truly carry concealed. Other states are similar. Check out
