I have two CC guns, and I love both:
S&W 642 (I think...64_ something). It is a .357 5-shot j-frame revolver with enclosed hammer. Very very very efficient little cannon that is pleasant to shoot in .38 but can get a little tiresome in .357. But at least you have the option. 5 shots of .357 is nice to have, and its a small package...even smaller if you take off the stock grips and put on smaller pachymars.
Sig P232. VERY comfortable little 'mousegun.' Load it with silvertips or hydra-shocks and go shooting all day long. Utterly reliable and it just cannot seem to miss the bullseye. If you don't mind an addition 1/2 inch of thickness, add hogue or pachymar contoured grips, and it will feel like it was made for your hand alone. available in night sights and sig red-dot sights.
