Suggestions for bulk .223 ammo?

I find www.Natchez.com often has good prices especially when on sale. I just picked up 2000 rounds of S&B .223 55 gr. for $321 including shipping. In other words, $161 per 1000. That was $2.95 a box by 100 20 round boxes and about $26 in shipping and insurance. This was a sale price, but they have sales on a regular basis. You just have to check regularly to see what they have in and order it when it is available.
 
Wolf 223

Wolf 223 works just fine in my Ruger mini-14 ranch. It is very dirty, but cheap. I got my 1000 round pack at a gun show for like $95.
It also has a stong sulfury smell that I do not notice with the federal eagle ammo I also shoot.:D
 
the winchester .223 in the white box smells bad .. shoots good but smells real bad .. my friend bought a case from a local shop .. and he regrets it .. no to dirty but ... phew ! . smelly !

Drive to CTD and you can get some REAL ammo for a great price...... They have Federal Lake City XM193 for 3.99 a box of 20 and this ammo gets 3200 Fps or better. They also have Winchester Q3131 for around the same price as above. I would also suggest you get the S. African for 39.99 per 300 rd Battle pack. See you at the range. I live in Grapevine TX. John
