Student cited for turning gun in at school

Public schools for the most part have become baby sitters for working parents
and they do a poor job of that. :barf:

Now we all know that all kids deserve to be expelled for chewing gum! :p

Seriously, In the 80's my brother got suspended when he pulled out the contents of his pocket while looking for money. He had left some of those little red plastic caps in there. They put on his 'permanent record' that he had brought EXPLOSIVES to school! He slso got suspended for smoking once even though the school admitted they hadn't seen him smoke. But, they assumed he had been!

Hey folks, check the time stamp on the first post. This happened nearly six months ago and Danindetroit dredged it up yesterday. I seriously doubt that there is any action pending in this kid's case... at least no action that a bunch of emails from us will make any difference with.

Holy cow, I'm 26, and I remember being in FFA class in high school.

Our teacher got annoyed with us one day while he was trying to collect leaf samples for tree identification, and none of the class had brought their pocket knife to school.

I hear ya man. Back before all this b.s. in the news and everywhere there weren't half the problems that their are nowadays. All the media does is give these dumb young kids ideas by sensationalizing it and playing it up over and over and over. Zero tolerance my arse. They frickin' promote it.

Socialist schoolboard bullfeces

IMO, the parents of this boy should slap a lawsuit on the mindless socialist zealot of a principal that would have him living in a cardboard box.

If I were a parent, I would have "zero tolerance" for my kid being trampled beneath the jackboots of a politically correct school board and principal.

School administrators these days seem to think kids have no rights and that the school owns them like a farmer owns a cow as long as they are on school property.

I say that is socialist BS!
