Stopped at Walmart today...

I would love to start seeing 22LR in Walmart. I don't really understand why they don't have any in my area. I live in Walmart land with both Walmart Superstores (8-12 stores within 30 miles at least) and Neighborhood markets. Buy the majority of my groceries from them.
 
It must just be a Wal-Mart thing. The Gander Mountain nearby me has had CCIs of all sorts in large volume for over a year now. They've even had cut rate sales on it and didn't clear out.
 
All of the local gun stores here have tons of .22LR of all varieties. I have not seen any at all at Wal-Mart though. Cabelas here is loaded down with it.

My Walmart's no .22 sign might as well be laser etched into the counter top. It has not come down in years.

The other stores around hear rarely have anything but match grade. Match grade is great for competition training and shooting but not for letting the kids kill cans and paper.
