Stolen Firearms

Outstanding. Sometime ago when you could leave your doors unlocked in the county, some crackhead walked in an took my bedside Blackhawk in .357. I miss that pistol.

Awesome. Do yourself a favor, as well as any heir to your heirlooms and make certain those guns are cleared from the ncic database of stolen firearms, if there was even time enough to get them entered.

I picked them up at lunchtime. No damage at all, thank goodness.

Thanks for the advice, Baylorattorney. I asked the sergeant about that and he said that they didn't have time to enter that data.

Shortwave, the guy just had traffic violations on his record (although enough of them that he probably maintained the traffic court's operating budget.) I don't live in an apartment - the cleaning service is one that I hired to give my wife a break while she's going to college full time (since I have the same reaction to a vacuum cleaner that the cats do). He's currently seeking other employment (although not actively - looks like he's still cooling his heels in the clink.) I don't think that the cleaning company could have done anything differently. But they were tremendously apologetic.

OutlawJW, I'm staying put! And the guns are back in the safe.

Anyway, as far as I'm concerned, this worked out as well as it possibly could have.

Wow, that is amazing! I'm surprised the police even bothered to do any investigating over such a small crime.

Yeah, I had 15 stolen and even gave them the guys name. I don't think he was even questioned. He is serving time for a meth lab now so that's some consolation.

Actually I have a Heidelberg address and a Wayne county tag. I live right on the county line.:D Sandersville is about 15 miles.

That's one of the joys of living in a small city. About 15 years ago, when I first moved into my house, I left my garage door open one night. An officer was patrolling by, stopped and closed the door. He left a note on my car in the garage letting me know that he closed it and suggested that leaving it open was a bad idea.

It's entirely possible that we have one of the nicest police forces in the country.
