Stoeger love it

I would love to have an O/U but can't afford what the cool kids shoot. I looked at the Stoeger and wondered......

Right now I'm happy with my old (really old!) Model 1100 20g with Cutts Compensator. It makes smoke out of clay just fine for me! I occasionally get a misfire but never FTE's. I blame the ammo :D

The Stoeger is what it is. I wouldn't expect it to hold up like a Browning or Beretta but it didn't cost as much. You pretty much get what you pay for.

When I was shooting amateur competition with shotguns I bought a used BT99. Quite a step up from my 11-87. I don't know about light loads, but sometimes I would get into shoot offs. We would end up shooting from 50 yards or something ridiculous. The rounds we used from there would be VERY hard on a gun not made extremely well. Hard on the shoulder if using a light gun also.

I have had my eye on a Benelli M2 for quite some time. It is tempting to pick-up one of the stoeger M3000 at about half the price.

The money spent on a Condor one could purchase a used higher quality gun.

The msrp on the standard Condor is $499 and the Comp guns are

$680. A dealer has a Charles Daly for $500 and a Winchester 101 for $680.

I know prices are different area to area, one just has to shop around.

I think a shooter can do much better than the Condor.
