Steyr M40...New Trigger Module?

Zund.....

I want to change sights, and the rear will not come out without removing the thing anyway.

Besides, I personally think it's one of the stupidest developments in firearm technology

"all firearms are loaded, unless it's time for a mag change"

Once I get my sights swapped, I fully plan to have the thing silver soldered in the "loaded" position, or I'll remove it altogether. Just then I'll have to find a way to fill the hole in the breech face...............

damn lawyers.

Actualy if you just solder it into place in the unloaded position and take a dremel to the pin that sticks out of the breach face that would be nice and smooth.

I don't mind the LCI (in fact I think its a good idea ... so long as it's not something mandated by law).

yes, i dont have the url, its somewhere in one of these threads mentioning steyr in the subject. it wont be finished though until the 15th.

i see that they are working on the S45, but is there also a M45 as well?

www.gsifirearms.com use to be the US steyr distributor.. I see on their website, all steyr stuff is gone. Who's going to do the steyr imports now??

I know steyr got bought by someone a little bit ago.. but I can't remember who..

I have a Steyr M40 and I LOVE mine! WAY better than a glock, the trigger is sweeter, shorter reset, and the sights are awesome. It's also very ergonomically correct... Accurate shooter too..

While I found my Steyer M40 to be a decent gun, the lack of aftermarket parts ie sights, extended mag releases etc makes it a difficult gun to tweak. Hopefully as more individuals buy this model series a market will develop for it like what has happened with Glock, 1911's and Remington just to mention a few.:)
