Steve's guns peep sight for Rossi 92

I'm thinking of getting a peep sight from Steve's guns for my Rossi 92. It mounts by removing the safety and going in the hole left there. Some comments say that it goes in loose, others say it is nice and tight. Anyone have experience? Also, how easy/hard did you find the installation? I'm hoping to make 4 inch groups at 150 yards fairly easy with this upgrade. Is that realistic?

I'm thinking about getting a 357 Rossi from Steve and getting his action work and peep.

But maybe with the upgrade cost I should just get another Henry.

There is also a company in Montana called Skinners that makes peep sights for Rossi not to mention many other manufacturers.they are very good quality but not inexpensive,I have a set on my Henry Goldenboy.

You are probably right...cost wise, it might come out about the same. It's a matter of whether you prefer a lightweight old west gun or a rather heavy modernized lever gun. As much as I like the idea of the 92, their short stocks with crescent-shaped butt plates and minimal stock drop fit me terribly, so I've pretty much ruled them out.

krunchnik mentioned Skinner Sights. This is the only Skinner sight that works for the 92. It mounts in the dovetail slot, not the on the receiver. In theory, a receiver aperture should work better (longer sight radius and a small hole near the eye can actually improve visual acuity), but on my Marlin 1894c, I prefer Skinner's barrel-mounted sight over their receiver-mounted sight (I own both).
