starline brass

The OP is about 45 Colt. I've used their 38 Special, 357 Magnum, 44 Special, 44 Mag, and 45 Auto, and last year, I bought 308 Win brass from them that I have not yet shot enough to get a sense of reloading endurance. So, my previous experience with life expectancy is entirely with their pistol and revolver brass.

I've had nothing but good results from Starline and endurance matching that of old Winchester, which was very good in terms of life expectancy, but with half the weight spread of Winchester.

Fusion, my guess is that if you had told Starline of your experience, they would have asked to see the faulty brass and would have replaced it. Most of the shooter's supply companies have exceptional customer service.
This one is on me as I never did contact them about it. I might should still do so as I still have some of the split brass from the bag. I also have a second bag of the same brass that I bought at the same time that I haven't opened yet for fear of the same happening.
