Star ?

I shoot the beans out of my Star pistols particularly the D and S series , I have never had a parts breakage problem although I do have many parts for the smaller frame pistols.
I have a Model P .45 Auto that is every bit as well made as my commercial Colt 1911's, the Star carries a beautiful blue and is very accurate even with its GI type sights.

You can get parts. And it's kind of James Bond fun. You have to know the name of the right guy in Spain...for real.
[I wasn't joking]
Do you know the right guy in Spain?

What is the secret handshake to find this guy?

I need a part for this guy:

Gunparts lists a lot of assorted Star pistol parts.
I've checked Numrich a number of times. They never have what I need. You have to get lucky with them unless it's a really common gun.

I know his name, and I think you can get in touch with him still over the electronic mails :) His name is Jorge if I recall. His contact info is with my dad; I was just nominated as gun repairman since I'm good at mechanical things. Old Spanish pistol ownership is not one of my areas of madness.

Let me see what I can do.

edit-

Try this:

Go to Gunboards forum. Join if you are not a member. Then go to their Spanish Pistols forum. A member there by the username "STAR" should be your man. Send him a PM. He has posted as recently as 3 February 2017.

Thanks for the info guys.

I may be able to modify a 1911 link, but I'll also check with the Spanish gun collectors on Gunboards.

"You can get parts. And it's kind of James Bond fun." You might think so. But I certainly didn't during a several years long search for a Colt .380 part.

Hi there.

Please do not take me out of context so completely and willfully. I have not said word one about your Colt or your search for parts.

And if I thought I knew where you might get parts, I'd tell you- obviously I just tried to help in this case now didn't I. Why you want to portray me like this is not clear to me, but I'll thank you to stop. I did not cause your problem and I did not make light of it.

DMK, what size is your Colt?
Is it the size of a government 1911 or a commander? The reason I ask is that I have barrel links for the Llama
.380 smaller 1911 pistols. If your link is not full sized they might fit.
What length is your link?
