Staples doesn't like us anymore??

I believe the Chick-fil-A folk are actually Evangelical Christians and not sure why they would be identified as anti-gun. I’m only guessing here, but I suspect the opposite is true.

I love me some Chik-Fil-A. They are definately not anti-gun...so not sure why they were even brought up. And this is true, they are also not Catholics. Gotta love misinformation on the Internet.

Anyway, about Chik-Fil-A...I go a couple times a month and carry. Have never seen a sign. Even saw a group of non-cops open carrying there a couple months ago and not a single worker even batted an eye at them. This is one of the many reasons why they get my business.

Chik-Fil-A and soccer moms are off-topic for this thread.

What's happened with Staples in this instance is an excellent reminder that it's important to let companies know that we care about their policies, and will vote with our wallets.

It's also important to keep watching to be sure companies back up such statements with action.

It seems to me that if we boycott them and gripe about them on the internet after they listened to us and reversed their policy that we turn them into an enemy again after making them a friend. Shouldn't we reward them for responding positively?

It does seem to to me that this would be the right thing to do. They made a mistake and admitted it. I'll cut them some slack. If they do it again though, well then it tells the tale.

I didn't realize that they reversed their policy. I purchase a significant amount of office supplies from Staples, Office Depot, and Sam's on a monthly basis. Thanks for the info.

I've never been to a Staples, but if I ever see one I'll go see what they have. I don't really have a big need for office supplies.

I just liked their Facebook page and noticed that they are still getting hit with threats of boycotts and complaints over this, even as comments to their apology post promising to fix the problem in future events. Why are people threatening to boycott a company when that company worked so quickly to address the problem?

Next time a company accidentally makes gun owners angry, do you think they will do what Staples did and fix the problem or decide they already lost and just ignore gun owners?

Do you really think it was just an accident? I suspect is was based on how they truly feel and the switch is simply an attempt to limit the damage.
