Stag Arms V.S. S&W

They are made to mil-spec drawings, and all parts are interchangable. Not all military issue rifles have chrome lined bores. The vast majority do.

My Stag Arms Model 8 has been a great addition to my collection of rifles. It currently wears a 2-7x33 Leupold VXII and serves as my coyote gun. It has worked out very well.
 
Picked the S&W

Well I got an additional 10% off the S&W (20% total) so I went with it. So far I picked up a floating quad rail, Barska red dot sight, and a Mako T - Pod Vertical Foregrip with Bipod along with a 1000 rnds of brown bear. Can't wait to zero it in!!

And yet, the DI versions tend to work quite well. S&W had a lemon with their piston rifles

And S&W isn't the only one having problems with piston ARs.
