I've had a SA 1911 for about 10 years, and it's been a great gun. At least since that one trip to my gunsmith ..... That said, for fun and games, I think something from the Ronin line in 9mm would be a hoot. If I were looking for a 1911 for CC, though, I'd give the 1911 EMP Champion Concealed Carry Contour a hard look. Not that I've ever seen one in person, mind you, but I could sure enjoy a bobtail 1911 in 9mm.
