Springfield Armory advertising - a pointless question

I think it is great that Springfield is putting out an AR. I just find it a shame that what they put out was a mix of good and bad things. The front tower sight is a real disappointment as is not bothering to float the barrel. Oh well.

Another advertising build up and disappointment.
 
Dang I was hoping for some tactical workout gear in urban camouflage spandex. However, the new rifle looks fine and SA has an overall good reputation, so it should do OK. I do wonder if the demand for the AR has peaked for any number of reasons and if their engineering budget might have been better spent on something else.
 
So, does this mean ARs are on the way out? :eek: It seems as though SA only introduces a product when it is dying. Remember the FAL clones? And their scopes? And the High Power clones? And the M1As? Oh, sorry for that one. They're not quite dead yet . . .:D
