Sphinx SDP review and critiques

(I'm using a new Spring-type trigger weight scale from Dillon and not a digital one, so I suspect my measurements might be less precise than others who use digital models.. A digital one is on my wish list.)

Eh, I've found the Lyman digital can be finicky at times. You really need to make sure the pole is secured tightly and if the trigger is very heavy the pole mount can sort of pop to one side and give odd weights. Also, being very consistent with how you pull and where on the trigger you place the pad can have a big impact on the measurements. Of course this is true of analog scales too.

I have a Lyman digital trigger scale. After I do my trigger pull weights I weigh the gun by hanging it from the trigger guard. Then I weigh the gun on my postal scale to double check the accuracy of the trigger scale. I guess if I wanted to do a triple check I could also use my reloading scale.

I like the digital as it has a "Average" mode that you simply press to get the average of how every many pulls you decide to do.

Walt I have the same trigger pull gage you have. I normally do 3 or 4 tries to make sure I get a consistent measure. Sounds like we are close.
