Speed Test - Is your Info Highway fast?

Hold on to your seats, I'm registering a whopping 37.3 kbps ! I don't suppose I'll playing Q3 online anytime soon.

I thought you all would appreciate a new toy. I got this when I went to cable modem. I just showed 3547.8 Kbps and 434.8 Kbytes/sec. If you check the menu above the test you can test over and over. You'll see different ###s due to traffic. Info there on how/what it all means.

Works best with downloads. 5 meg file in about 25 seconds +- some.

Just to show how bad it can be, I'm using dial-up with a 56k modem through AOL, and I get

30.3 Kbps
3.7 K bytes/sec

This is the pits.

HAHA! I beat you DaveR! I got 30.2 Kbps / 3.7 KBps.

A cable modem has been on the 'want to get' list for some time now.

T-1's are really cool, but at home I constantly get a 56K hook. I feel good about that, and I ain't in that big a hurry.
 
I always score really high but dont know the exact numbers since I am not at home!

Last nite I downloaded a 120MB file in 5 minutes and 23 seconds over my cable! I also use Analog X NetStat live. It is a freeware program that shows your current speed in realtime as you download stuff! I love it! Get it here!
