South African BHP 17 round mags.

What if you took off the base pad, poked the "guts" back up inside, and put on the base pad from a standard 13 rounder. No more 17 round mag, for sure, but maybe a flush 15 rounder?

Just received the two I ordered (both came with mag loaders).

They appeared to be very well made, indeed. I am going to test them out this weekend and, if all goes well, I intend buy a few more.

BTW, does anyone know how to remove the base plate for cleaning? Is it supposed to just slide off?

Thanks.

Skorzeny,

You got it, just slide it off. An obvious remark: watch out for the spring as it's under pressure, like any other magazine.
