From the little bit I read in the Washington Post at lunch today, the gun-waver was squatted down and turning back and forth from time to time during a 10 or 15 minute period. He had his revolver in his mouth at one point.
If he was still crouched when shot, it is possible that his knee may have been up in front of his chest.
A local radio report earlier today mentioned one shot with a 10mm.
