Some people shouldn't be allowed to get out of bed some days

the long drive...

Just like I've been practicing to shoot better for the match on Sunday as well. Rounds are marked, gun cleaned, belt/holster ready, mags are cleaned. I load up the coffee, thermos of hot soup, water, and extra warm clothes for the USPSA match in Bremerton, WA-easily 2.5 hours away one winters day. The drive is uneventful, scenic and quite serene and couldn't have been a better start to the day until I pay my dues, scoresheets, and start to holster up. Load the mags, listen to the shooters briefing head to our ranges and safe area-except, where's the dagnabit blaster???! I go into panic mode and tear the car trunk apart until I remembered taking the afterthought to pull the gun out of the bag at 9pm and clean my fiberoptic front sight! I'd left in on the counter thinking I'd see it on the way out.

Once upon a time, when I was working, I rode motorcycles to work.

Just so happened there was another guy who rode the exact same model and color bike that I did and we used to park in the same area.

One day, he and I showed up for work and remarked the parking lot was pretty bare.

Then we realized the Christmas/New Year holiday break had granted us all another day off. He rode almost 50 miles to get to work and I rode 10.

Go figure.:)

Too much going on

I don't know how many times I have gone to the bank to cash my paycheck and left it at home or gone to pay a bill and left the bill or money at home. I have gone to the range and forgot ammo for one of my guns. Fortunately, I always take at least two guns so I have never forgotten all the ammo, yet. I attribute these things to having too much going on in mind at once. My wife says there is too little going on.:o:(
