Some people shouldn't be allowed to get out of bed some days (Pt. 2)

when I transferred it to him I told him that the red dot was twisted 90 degrees to fit in my case. word got back to me that the buyer was pieved with me cause...Tuzo understands

lernt me that sometimes when people nod agreement they may actually be nodding off

The first time I tried to build a gas-powered-shell-ejector system on my then-357 revolver, I used a brass gas trap cap.

Worked great in 38Spl standard pressure. Blew the cap clean off and sent it downrange in one shot of 357Mag :). Finally got a steel-and-aluminum endcap working in 357, then started the 9mm conversion process, got that working with what I'd learned earlier, then got magazine feeding going. I now have a revolver with a six-shot cylinder that can get 14 rounds off with no reload - 5 in the cylinder, 9 in one of my two extended mags.

I once had a British FAL rifle (L1A1) and after a thorough cleaning I took it to the range for the first time. The rifle just wouldn’t eject the case no matter what gas setting I tried.

Totally frustrated I took it to my friend gunsmith who has his shop right next to the range. I explain the problem and after a quick look he tells me he can fix it, but it is very labor intensive and thus really expensive. He then switches the gas plug around from “grenade launching”-setting and (with a huge grin on his face) hands the rifle back in 5 seconds flat.

Did I mention we were standing in a gun shop crowded with people hearing every word ? :o
