So why did you buy a Kel-Tec P32?

I bought one after my wife promised that she would always carry a gun if we could find a gun that she could carry without resorting to drastic measures.

After determining that she was able to operate the slide on a P32, we bought one. I had the upper hard chromed because I believe it adds somewhat to reliability as well as to the ease of maintenance.

When we got it back from being refinished, we took it to the range and shot with a variety of ammunition to verify that it was reliable and that she could handle it well enough for it to be a useful self-defense weapon.

I bought mine 15-ish years ago at a gun show because I thought I needed a tiny pocket gun. Now, in the summer, I frequently carry mine IWB in a Crossbreed minituck.

I bought one when it was the only thing that small and light available. Got rid of it when the P3AT came out and got one of those, still have it.

I went to an LGS that has a range and a pretty good selection of guns for rent, and I was looking to compare the P32 and P3AT They had the P32 but not the .380, but one of the sales guys let me shoot 10 rounds from his personal carry P3AT. I liked the P32 much more, the P3AT was just too snappy and lacked the empty mag slide lock.

The owner, his wife and daughter, the shop gunsmith and 2 other sales people had P32's in their pockets. So I bought one too.

I love it and carried it all the time before I got my LCR, but it's still smaller and lighter even than that and gets dropped in a pocket or put on the belt at least once a week.

I have three of them and the first one I bought 15 yrs. ago. I sent the slide back to Kel-tecl for the hard chrome upgrade, cost me $15 at the time and was well worth it. I carry mine 90% of the time when I am carrying. Yeah it is a .32 but it is better than my .45 on the dresser. I have carried FMJ and hollow points and never experienced rim lock. The only thing I did to all three of them was fluff'n buff them. I currently will carry a hollow point in the chamber and the rest FMJ or all FMJ and I carry in well worn DeSanti pocket holster.

I have a Taurus TCP .380 but can't find a decent pocket holster for it like the DeSanti has been for the P32.

I bought one when they first came out, just because it was one of the smallest and lightest semi autos at the time. I have 2 now.The 32 came out before the .80. Had the 380 and gave it away. Kicked like an ass.
.32 has 10 rounds and a slide hold back, easy to control your shots... What is more to ask.:p
