So How Many Times Do You Do A Press check

I am armed most hours of the day, and I press check whenever I take custody of a weapon that I haven't handled in a while. It may be redundant, and it may bit a bit much, but I always verify the status of a weapon that I take control of.

I don't press check. I load up a mag, chamber a round then top off the mag with another round. No need to press check.

Never.

If I suspect that there's no round in the chamber and I want there to be one, I rack the slide fully.

If a round pops out, I either pocket it or, after rendering the gun safe, reload it into the magazine.
