It's a tie.
Too small sample size to draw any conclusions from it currently, except they both are well-liked.

S&W or RUGER

I have and like both brands. However, my ratio of S&W to Ruger is 4:1 in favor of Smith's. Taurus is not even on MY radar. :barf:

Smith & Wesson gets my vote and dollars.

Ruger DA revolvers remind me of Russian made cars. The look cheap. The design is functional but unattractive. Much the same
for their semi auto .22 pistol. That stamped frame work but looks cheap and I'm sure is less expensive to make.

S&W revolvers look great, have outstanding SA triggers and perform very well.

I used to shoot a lot of .357's and .38's and at that time my favorites were S&W. Over the years though I've gravitated to shooting more .44 caliber and my collection has drifted more into the Rugers lately by trading the Smiths away. The double actions are just stronger and thier single actions have no competition from the Smith side. I still keep an old J-frame for CCW though.

My first choice would be Ruger if they have what I'm looking for. I simply prefer the Ruger design to the S&W design. Course if Ruger doesn't make it, then I'll opt for a S&W.

Tough decision I own both. I'd rather shoot the ruger. I seem to carry the smith more (couple ounces liter) Both are simular .357 in 6". I voted smith but could have gone the other way.

Smith vs Ruger

Re handguns, I have at one time owned about 4 Rugers but sold them all in preference to Smith & Wesson. The handling of a Smith especially the out of box trigger is superior to that of Ruger. I do own several Ruger rifles and like them very much. In my opinion QA with both Smith and Ruger handguns could be improved

If you mean "what is coming out of the factory today" my answer would be Ruger.

If we could back it up a few years to the pre-MIM days, then S&W would be my choice.
