Smith M686 vs. Ruger GP-100 Which is better?

You guys sure are a friendly bunch. That is
why I like this forum. When I said I had a
Redhawk, I failed to say that it is 44mag,
not the .357mag version. I, too, like Ruger
revolvers. That speed six I had years ago
was very well made. Another plus for Ruger,
IMHO is the revolvers are almost idiot proof.
A trained seal can field strip one. I wouldn't even attempt to dissemble a Smith.
I would end up with a lot of extra parts after reassembly! I've noticed that the GP-100 is about $100 cheaper wholesale than
the Smith M686. That is another important
consideration for me as I'm still waiting
for my rich uncle to get out of the poor
house!
