Smith and Wesson model 65

I'm looking for a set of decent wood grips that aren't a small fortune. Right now it has pachmayr grips and I don't like the way they fill in the gap behind the trigger gaurd

I'm a fan of the original magna grips. I'd check eBay. You can get a set of used grips with some "character marks" for right around $30

I love my 3" M65. It's just about the perfect all-arounder.

I bought my M65 from a friend - it was her service revolver until it got replaced with a Glock. ;)

It's got the smoothest action I've ever felt on a factory gun. The 1st time I pulled the trigger, I asked her who did the action work on it - she just looked surprised and confused and told me it's never been messed with.

Did I mention it's smooth?

Heh, nice pic Mr Borland.

There was a guy at the range the other day with an older (but hardly used) Model 66 3" bbl that caught my eye. It also caught the eye of the RSO. A bidding war between us raged, all the while the owner kept telling us it's not for sale :p. I guess you probably had to be there.

It was a nice gun. And a nice guy owned it. Too bad he couldn't shoot worth beans.
