I took mine out for a quick check at the range yesterday. I did about twenty rounds of Blazer aluminum case, 125 JHP, P+. Let me tell you that stuff has some bark to it. I don't know how hot it is, but I knew it had gone off that's for sure. Between the BOOM, the muzzle-flash, and the recoil, it got attention all up and down the line. Shot good though.
My 125 gr JFP's reloads were much milder by comparison and a lot of fun to shoot, even in the little airweight.
A couple of weeks ago my wife got a 642. She liked the gun, but said the wooden grips hurt her hand so I got her a set of Hogues for it. The next time she goes to the range, I'm going to try them to see how they feel.
