Smallest .45 being made?

Hey Denfoote, if you're going to compare the 26 to the 36, at least take off the finger extension and do a proper comparison. smallest eh? I'm a Glocker so I went with the 39, .45GAP.

The G36 has a factory mag extension, I installed the mag extension on my 26.
So it is apples to apples.
In reality, the G36 is closer to the G23/19.
When I took the pics, I didn't have a G23/19 gun to compare, so I used the next best thing. ;)

Hhmmm....I really wanted one of the Bond Derringer's in .45acp caliber, after seeing a nib one at a gunshow with a cute little Texas Star leather holster; price was reasonable, and I was sorely tempted. However, the panic hit over the anointed one, and I didn't see another one for awhile. By the time I did, prices on them had tremendously increased. My interest flagged, at that point; at the new prices, I figured I could buy a magazine-fed pistol for only a bit more.

But, I digress. I have a Defender & that's as small as I want to go in that caliber.--Patrice

Maybe just me but the Kimber Ultra Carry II looks and feels great. The problem is that despite four trips back to Kimber I still had more t han occasional FTF and FTE, regardless of the ammo that I tried. That degree of unreliability was not acceptable and I traded this gun for something else. I think it is the 4" barrel that is the problem. I have not heard of 4" Kimbers being as problematic.
